Chris Duncan
Chris Duncan, our new Aquatics Director, is a career swim coach with an outstanding background training Olympic trial and Junior National qualifiers. He holds multiple all American honors in swimming. Chris most recently was head coach at SOCAL Aquatics in Tustin where he worked for the past 8 years and is responsible for the development of Tara Thomas (age group), Brittany Borowitz (UCSB), and multiple Olympic Trial qualifier Melissa Bates. He also has attended multiple Sr. and Jr. National meets with 8 Senior National qualifiers and 12 Junior National qualifiers in his career. He coached Brad Morris, Junior National Champion, in the 100-meter freestyle at San Jose. Chris has extensive professional experience directing swim programs for all age groups from preschool through adults. |

Gina Duncan
Gina Duncan, our new Assistant Aquatics Director (and Chris' Mrs.) has been coaching for over ten years at all levels of swimming. She has a proven track record with top 11-12 swimmers, often helping them to achieve top 16 or top 10 recognition. With numerous All American honors in swimming she brings a wealth of experience at the highest level of swimming. In her new role, Gina will manage the aquatics department administration and assist Chris in implementing exciting new aquatics programs for all ages. |

Dan Berzansky
Coach Dan has been involved with the Waves Swim Team since day one. After graduating from Stony Brook University with a degree in Psychology and four years of Division I swimming under his belt, Coach Dan started the Merage JCC swim program which later became the OC Waves. Coach Dan swam for Irvine Novaquatics and University High School where he still holds team records in the 50 free and numerous relays. Currently, Coach Dan is a program director at the Merage JCC the President of the OC Waves and coaches the Blue Group. |

Breanna Sotelo
Coach Breanna started her aquatic career swimming
and playing water polo for Cerritos Aquatic. At Lakewood High School
she was a three year varsity distance swimmer and four year varsity
polo player. She attended the University of Redlands studying
Biochemistry and of course swimming the 500, 1000 and the mile. She is
in the process pursuing her teaching credential to be a Chemistry
teacher at the high school level. Coach Breanna started coaching with
the Northwood Pointe Sea Lions from 2001-2006 and the Lakewood
Porpoises from 2004-2006. In the winter she works with autistic
children and has inexhaustible patience. She has been
coaching/teaching swimming for almost a decade and her focus is always
fun while getting the job done. |

Eric
Coach Eric started
swimming at the age of 15 for the Murrieta Valley High School
Nighthawks. Under the Nighthawks he helped lead the team to 4
back-to-back boy’s CIF championship titles. Upon graduating, he
received a scholarship to compete for the UCI Men’s Swimming and
Diving team. While competing for the Anteaters, he achieved national
times in both the 100 and 200 yard Breaststroke. Eric is currently
attending UCI and is majoring in Criminology, Law, and Society. His
focus for coaching is a more hands on approach. We learn be doing,
rather than just seeing! |
